The best wall lights with plugs - part 1: black & brass

What does this image have to do with wall lights with plugs (or wall sconces with in-line switches if you’re posh or American or posh and American)?
I have this empty and slightly awkward narrow-but-tall stretch of wall next to the sofa, above the side table. In an ideal world I would have had it wired for a wall light when we renovated the ground floor, but as is often the case, our plans evolved as the renovation went along and it wasn’t until we finished I realised it was the perfect spot for a wall light.
So far I’ve tried 3 different table lamps in this space but they were all just a bit too…meh? Too short, too small, too underwhelming, looking a bit lost in this weird little corner or somehow just visually at odds with the height of the picture ledge.
The solution? A wall light with a plug - no messy wiring work, can be hung at any height and adds immediate interest (and light) to an awkward little space. And I quite like the laid-back look, the lack of formality of a cable hanging down. It’s the lighting equivalent of a few beautiful artworks just oh-so-casually propped up against a wall.
But when I toddled off to find the perfect pluggy-inny (technical term) wall light I discovered it’s actually pretty tough to find them without sifting through millions of wall lights that require hard-wiring - very few retailers have this as an option to filter results by. So, I’ve done the dirty work for you and here we go.
